Lidcombe Rise – Mixed-Tenure Residential & Affordable Housing Development, Sydney
Major mixed-tenure urban renewal development on Church Street, Lidcombe, delivering 476 new homes across approximately 52,700 sqm of GFA on a 13,000 sqm site.
The development brings together social, affordable and private housing within an integrated residential precinct, supported by community amenities, landscaped public realm and improved connections to the surrounding Lidcombe town centre.
The project was delivered through a public-private partnership structure, with the landowner working alongside the private development partner to establish and manage the commercial, planning and delivery framework.
The role included acting as landowner representative across the Project Delivery Agreement and Voluntary Planning Agreement, overseeing key development, commercial, governance and stakeholder matters through the PPP joint venture structure.
The mandate focused on protecting the landowner’s commercial and development interests, managing contractual and delivery risk, maintaining alignment between government and private-sector objectives, and supporting the delivery of a high-quality mixed-tenure housing outcome.
